DAY OF THE DEAD
Saturday 2ND November @ 7:30pm
Dance East Theatre
Ipswich
This was for us and our sellout audience an unforgettable celebration as over 60 talented singers from two choirs presented a unique and vibrant rendition of the Mexican Day of the Dead festival!
Suffolk Constabulary Male Voice Choir and Felixstowe Harmonies collaborated in a special concert, themed loosely on the Mexican festival Dia De Los Muertos, a holiday tradition celebrated annually by friends and family of departed relatives and loved ones.
We brought to the stage songs from Walt Disney’s Coco, film and musical theatre as well as artists such as Snow Patrol, Queen and Electric Light Orchestra. A smattering of Spanish sung here and there will lend a little authenticity.
